Owls drop 6-1 decision to Red Storm

FLUSHING MEADOWS, N.Y. - Temple's men's tennis team took to the road to take on St. John's University on Friday, February 10. The Owls dropped a 6-1 decision to the Red Storm.
The host team earned the doubles point by taking the second and third bouts. The tandem of brothers' Filip Rams and Kacper Rams salvaged the doubles sweep with their 8-5 win at number one.
The Red Storm quickly secured the win with victories at the second, third, fourth and fifth singles flights. Taylor Hairston picked up TU's only win at number six, defeating Valentin Mihai, 6-4, 7-5. Filip Rams nearly got the Owls another point, dropping a three-set heartbreaker to #29 Vasko Mladenov, also the number one player in the Northeast Regiona, 6-4, 4-6, 10-6.
Temple is 2-1 overall and competes again on Friday, 17, hosting Duquesne at noon.
