Harding and Pensyl Meet IC4A Standards at Armory Collegiate Challenge

NEW YORK, N.Y. - On Thursday, members of the Temple men's track and field squad took part at the Armory Colleigate Challenge in hopes of boosting their qualifications for next weekend's IC4A Indoor Track and Field Championships. Junior Dylan Pensyl and senior Alan Harding met the standards to qualify for next week's meet at Boston Universtiy by setting IC4A times in the long jump and the 500 meter dash, respectively.

Pensyl's leap gave him a distance of 23 feet, 1.75 inches (7.05 meters) to earn him second place in the event.

Harding's finish time of 1:04.53 in his heat of the 500 meter dash, placed him third overall.

Also competing and having strong performances were senior Geoff Barletta and freshman Lionel Wilson.

Barletta ran the 1,000 meter run in 2:31.51 for third place, while Wilson placed sixth overall in the 400 meter dash with his final time of 49.29.
