Owls sweep Terriers without dropping a set

UPPER DUBLIN, Pa. - Temple's men's tennis team hosted St. Francis (N.Y.) on Saturday, February 25, in a match played at the Upper Dublin Sports Club. The Owls cruised to a 7-0 win over the Terriers.
TU quickly earned the doubles point with wins at all three flights. Kacper Rams and Hernan Vasconez were first up to earn a victory with an 8-1 win at number two. Filip Rams and Kristian Marquart followed that with an 8-2 win at No. 1, securing the point. Mansur Gishkaev and Taylor Hairston picked up an 8-4 third flight win for good measure.
In singles play, the top four flights dropped just two games between them. Both Kacper Rams (#2) and Marquart (#3) were 6-0, 6-0 winners, while Filip Rams, at flight one, and Gishkaev, at the fourth flight, both took 6-0, 6-1 victories. Hairston earned a 6-2, 6-3 win at number five, and Stanislav Stekolshikov rounded out the sweep with a 6-1, 6-1 decision at No. 6.
The Owls improve to 3-2 overall and are in action next at Drexel on Monday, February 27 at 2 p.m.
