Owls continue six match road trip against nationally ranked Seahawks

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Temple men's tennis team came up against a tough opponent in 43rd-ranked UNC-Wilmington on Friday, falling 6-0 to the Seahawks at the UNCW Tennis Complex. The match was the fifth of six straight on the road for the Owls.

Following a 45-minute rain delay, Friday's match opened with singles play. UNCW (8-2) dominated, taking all six matches in straight sets.

At No. 1, Filip Rams nearly forced a third set with Rafael Aita, the 64th-ranked player in the nation, but ultimately fell 6-4, 7-5.

The two teams started doubles play before ending the match due to more inclement weather.

TU (4-5) concludes the lengthy road trip with a match at #34 Virginia Commonwealth on Saturday at 2 p.m.
