AMBLER-
Temple (13-22, 1-8  A-10) picks up the fourth game of its current eight-game homestand at Skip Wilson Field on Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. with a date with the Delaware Blue Hens. Live stats and Twitter updates will be provided. Follow the action by using the links above.

SCOUTING THE OWLS...

The Owls are coming off an Atlantic 10 Conference series loss to the Charlotte 49ers over the weekend. After providing the game-winning hit in Saturday's game over the 49ers, redshirt senior Steve Nikorak got the bat with a similar situation in Sunday's game, as the Owls trailed by only a run and had a baserunner in scoring position with nobody out. A hard hit ball and an outstanding defensive play from the Charlotte 49er third baseman, who got the force out at second ended the ballgame and stunned the Owls.

Junior Jordan Queja comes into today's game after having a consistent weekend and a solid week overall, as he had six hits and batted .375 in the team's four games last week. Senior Jabair Khan continues to carry a hot bat, as he has reached base in each of the last 11 games.

Redshirt sophomore Ryan Kuehn will make his first since March 14 at Penn, where the Owls won the contest in extra-innings.
After Tuesday's affair with the Blue Hens, the Owls will hold the next four games at home, as they will welcome A-10 rival Richmond for a weekend three-game set and Villanova next Tuesday. The meeting with Richmond will mark head coach Ryan Wheeler's first time facing the school he served as an assistant coach for over the previous five seasons.

SCOUTING THE BLUE HENS...

Delaware (19-18, 11-7 CAA) rolls into Ambler after taking two of three at home against Virginia Commonwealth over the weekend. The Blue Hens are streaking, as they have won five of their last seven games.
In their last time out, the team scored all the runs it would need in the first two innings of play in a 6-2 victory over the VCU Rams in the Colonial Athletic Association's weekend series finale.

The Blue Hens have 10 players on its roster from the state of Pennsylvania, including redhsirt senior pitchers Corey Crispell and Ian Hoff from Hatboro and Nick Stampone from Meadowbrook.

Sophomore Jimmy Yezzo has been the offensive spark for Delaware, having four home runs, 41 hits and a batting average of .347 through 35 games.

Freshman Tyler Powell has been an immediate impact for his team this season, as he is batting a team-best .369 and has the team's highest on base percentage at .440.

Right-hander Dan Gatto is expected to get the start on the mound against the Owls. Gatto is 3-2 on the year with a 4.81 earned run average. In seven total appearances, Gatto has allwoed 13 runs and hitters are batting .290 against him. On the year, he has allowed just three extra-base hits- one being a home run.

THE SERIES...

The rivalry between Temple and Delaware dates all the way back to 1928. Since then, the all-time series has been closely even, as the Blue Hens have won just once more through the 101 games, owning a 51-50 record over the last 86 years. The Owls won the last meeting, which was played last season at Delaware on May 11 by a count of 12-10. Earlier last year, the Blue Hens stole the March 29th edition at Delaware, as well, winning 15-12 in the 10th inning. Delaware defeated the Owls, 5-4, the last time the two met at Skip Wilson Field, which was in 2010.
