Threat of bad weather moves Friday-Saturday games to a pair on Friday

PHILADELPHIA – Due to the threat of bad weather moving in to the Kingston, R.I. area this weekend, the Temple softball games against Atlantic 10 rival Rhode Island, originally scheduled as two single games on Friday and Saturday, have been changed to a doubleheader to be played on Friday. The first game will begin at 3 p.m., with the nightcap following at 5 p.m.

Temple enters the games with a 20-18 overall record and a 5-4 mark in conference play. The Owls are led by a trio of players hitting over .300. Sophomore Sarah Prezioso leads the pack with a .339 average, while also leading the squad in hits (40), triples (3), homeruns (3) and RBI (24). Senior Meaghan Marley is hitting .321 with nine doubles, while sophomore Stephanie Pasquale is third on the team with a .306 average and a team-best 13 doubles.

On the mound, Brooklin White is the team leader with a 3.07 ERA and an 11-8 record with 10 complete games and two shutouts.
