Men's T&F Takes Second Place In 4x400 In Day Two Of Penn Relays

Temple's men's track and field team was in full-force Friday in day two of the 118th Penn Relays. Competing in the 4x400 meter Wetzler/Pennsylvania Relay, the Owls quartet placed second only to Lock Haven. Damain Myers, Alex McGee, Lionel Wilson and Alan Harding led the Owls to an IC4A qualifying time of 3:17.16 in the event. Earning an IC4A qualfying mark on his own, Darrly McDuffe landed a 2.08 meters (6'9.75") in the high jump, tying him for fourth place with Cornell's Chris Arlinghaus.

Senior Tim Malloy had a solid result in the high jump as well, reaching 2.00 meters, which tied him in a four-way tie for seventh place.

Competitng in the long jump, Dylan Pensyl took a 26th place mark of 6.40 meters (21'6"), while Brian Littlepage earned 28th with a mark of 45.23 meters (148'4") in the discus throw.

Littlepage will compete in Saturday's hammer throw event.

On the track, Pensyl, Josh McFrazier, tyreece Clayton and Carlton Stafford combined to run the 4x200 meter relay in 1:29.46 to attain 33rd place overall. Their finish, earned them sixth place in their heat of the event.

In the 4x100 meter relay, McFrazier, Pensyl, Alex McGee and Damain Myers claimed a fifth place spot in their heat with a time of 41.98, placing them 35th overall.

When the Penn Relays pick up on Saturday for the final day of events, Gabe Pickett will take part in the triple jump, McFrazier will run in the 110 meter high hurdles and the 4x100 and 4x200 meter relay squads will race in IC4A qualifying events.
