Mahoney's A-10 Best Time In Steeplechase Yields To Performer of the Week Honors

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference released its weekly honor roll on Monday. Included on the list of honorees was Temple senior Travis Mahoney, as he has been tabbed the league's Performer of the Week for the second time this season.
In the opening day at the 118th Penn Relays, Mahoney recorded a second-place finish in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase with a time of 8:48.18. The Old Bridge, N.J., native who already owns the school record in the event, finished the event only five seconds behind Indiana's Andrew Poore. Mahoney's time currently sits atop the A-10 rankings and ranks 15th nationally.
Mahoney and the Owls head to Amherst, Mass. this weekend to compete for the A-10 Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
