Men's Tennis Tops Saint Joseph's, 7-0

Owls win five of six singles and two of three doubles matches
UPPER MERION, Pa. – The Temple men's tennis team dominated Atlantic 10 foe Saint Joseph's on Thursday, defeating the Hawks 6-1 at the SJU Tennis Complex. The Owls are now 8-9 overall and 4-2 against A-10 teams, while the host team falls to 8-11 and 2-5.
TU claimed the doubles point with wins at the first and second flights. Filip and Kacper Rams teamed up to defeat Jeff Kessler and Max Montague, 8-2, at No. 1. Dmitry Vizhunov and Kristian Marquart secured the point with an 8-4 win over Dan Barrus and Tommy Gates at No. 2.
In singles play, Kacper Rams kept the wins coming, defeating Kessler 6-4, 6-0 at No. 2. Marquart made it 3-0 with a win over Montague, 6-3, 6-1, at the fifth flight, and Stanislav Stekolshikov sealed the win with his 6-3, 6-0 decision over Gates at No. 3. Filip Rams and Vizhunov also picked up wins at the first and fourth flights, respectively.
The Owls will play one more match at Villanova, a 2 p.m. affair on April 10, before heading to Mason, Ohio, for the Atlantic 10 Championship.
