Travis Mahoney Selected A-10 Performer of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – On Monday, the Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly honor roll for the week of April 2-8. Among the honorees was Temple's Travis Mahoney, who was named the Men's Performer of the Week. Mahoney joins freshman Margo Britton joins on the release, as she was named the conference's Rookie of the Week on the women's side.
Rounding out the list of honors, La Salle's Meghan McGlinchey were named the A-10's Female Performer of the Week and Charlotte's Jamil Muhammed-Ray was named the Men's Rookie of the Week.
Mahoney, the senior from Old Bridge, N.J., shattered Temple's school record in the 5,000 meters with a time of 13:48.76 in the event at the Stanford Invitational, where he was the lone competitor representing the Owls.
Mahoney's time surpasses Michael May's time of 14:38.39 in the event, which he set back in 2010.
