Lauren Rangel-Friedman Competes At USA Fencing National Championships

Took part in four sabre events
ANAHEIM, Calif. - Last week Temple sophomore sabre fencer Lauren Rangel-Friedman competed in four events at the 2012 USA Fencing National Championships.
Rangel-Friedman placed 13th out of 62 in Division IA Women's Sabre before battling her way to a 22nd place ranking in Junior Women's Sabre. In team action, the Laguna Niguel, Calif. native also was a member of an Avant-Garde Fencers Club that placed fourth in both Senior and Junior Team Women's Sabre.
The 10-day tournament, conducted at the Anaheim Convention Center included 7,074 individuals and 427 team entries across 90 events in various age categories and weapons.
