Baseball Opens Fall Practice

PHILADELPHIA - Although it's five months until the season begins, the Temple baseball team gets back to work and begins the preparations for the 2013 season. Having his first recruiting class set since taking over the reigns of the Owls, second-year head coach Ryan Wheeler brings his team to Ambler this week to open fall practice.
The Owls will condition and practice from now through mid-October. During that time they will venture out to State College, Pa. to take on the Penn State Nitany Lions on Sept. 21 and will take on the Penn Quakers in another fall matchup on Oct. 13.
Temple will host its Alumni Game on Oct. 7. More information will follow as the date nears.
Following its preseason tune-up against Penn, the Cherry & White World Series will get underway on Oct. 16.
