PHILADELPHIA – College Fencing 360 released its first list of weekly award winners for the 2013 season on Wednesday morning. Making the list after a dominating performance last Saturday at the Philadelphia Invitational, junior Kimberly Howell has been tabbed to the honor roll as a Primetime Performer of the Week.
Howell, an epeeist from San Antonio, Texas for the No. 9 Temple Owls, went 12-2 on the day through her bouts, including 3-0 sweeps of Haverford, Cornell, Johns Hopkins and No. 10 Penn.
Her dominance helped the Owls finish with an impressive 5-1 record on the day, allowing the team to improve to 12-3 on the year.
Howell and Temple Women's Fencing head to Northwestern for Saturday's multi-meet against the host No. 7 Wildcats, No. 1 Princeton, No. 2 Notre Dame and No. 3 Ohio State.
