10.2.13 | Men's Cross Country
PHILADELPHIA - After three weeks of training without competing, the men's cross country team will be back in action this Saturday, Oct. 5 at the 40th Annual Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University.
Forty-seven teams will be running in Temple's division, with the 8k race set to start at 12:15 p.m.
The Owls were last in action at the Friend Big 5 Invitational on Sept. 13. The top finisher was sophomore Alex Izewski, who placed 53rd in a time of 20:10.91. Senior Will Keller was not far behind, in 57th place (20:19.37).
At last year's Paul Short meet, the now-graduated Travis Mahoney placed sixth to lead the Owls to a 19th place finish of 37 teams, the program's highest-ever finish at the annual meet.
Kellar came away with the Owls' third quickest time last year, crossing the finish line in 25:46.
