Elyse Burkert Named to American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Temple senior Elyse Burkert has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for her performances in matches last week against Rutgers and UConn. The Owls went 1-1 for the week, falling 3-1 to Rutgers but rebounding to sweep UConn for a second time this season.
Burkert, an outside hitter, averaged 3.43 kills per set and 3.57 digs per set, knocking down 12 kills against both UConn and Rutgers. She also added a match-best 19 digs against the Huskies.
The Owls will be playing their final two matches of the season this week at home, facing USF on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 7:00 p.m., and playing UCF on Friday, Nov. 29 at 7:00 p.m. for Senior Night.
