NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly baseball honor roll on Tuesday afternoon. In its second release of the season, sophomore shortstop Nick Lustrino has been named the A-10's co-Player of the Week with Charlotte's Shane Basen. VCU's Ryan Farrar was named the league's Pitcher of the Week and the Rams' James Bunn took home Rookie of the Week honors.

Over the weekend, Lustrino helped the Owls to a 2-1 weekend and the program's first win against a nationally-ranked opponent since 2008. The Spring Lake, N.J. native reached base 11 times and batted .545, going 6-for-11, with five walks in the three games, which included a doubleheader with Holy Cross on Sunday.

In Saturday's upset victory over #24 Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va., Lustrino went 1-for-4 with a walk and a run scored.

Lustrino had his best day on Sunday in the first game of the twin-bill, as he went 4-for-5, including a big hit in the bottom of the ninth when he ripped a single with the bases loaded to tie the game at 12 after the Owls, who led by as many as seven runs, trailed by three after Holy Cross exploded for 10-straight runs. Lustrino moved the game-winning run to third base, setting TU up for the dramatic, 13-12, walk-off win.

In the back-end of the split, Lustrino reached base four more times, going 1-for-2 with three walks. Just as he did in the first game on the day, he came up in the ninth with the Owls trailing and smashed a base-hit, bringing the Owls within two runs of the Crusaders, which is how it would end.

Lustrino and the Owls will return to action this weekend when they open a three-game set at Old Dominion on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
