BOSTON, Mass.—
Temple's qualifying members for the IC4A Championship  took part in the first day of completion held at Boston University on Saturday.

“Today our guys had some solid performances and I thought they finished the indoor season strong,  some personal bests and some of the better runs of the season,” head coach Eric Mobley said.

Despite finishing in 15th place sophomore Lionel Wilson ran his fastest time ever in the 400m dash (48.54).
Mobely was very impressed with Wilson's effort.

“It was great to see Lionel finish so strongly,” Mobley said. “To have your best indoor time ever is a great close to the indoor season.”
The men's 4x400 also ran their season best time. Wilson, senior Damian Myers, junior Carlton Stafford, and junior Gabe Pickett combined for a time of 3:15.86, good enough for a 15th place finish.

Two juniors finished with their second-best indoor times on in their respective heats on Saturday.

Sophomore Matthew Kacyon ran the 5000 meter in 14:57.85 5000m for a 12th place ranking in his heat, which placed him 25th overall.  His classmate, sophomore Cullen Davis ran the one mile run in a time of 4:16.23 to earn himself eighth place in his heat and 31st place among all participants.

In the triple jump, sophomore Derek Holland finished fifth in his heat and 13th overall with his jump of 14.22m. Finishing just ahead of Holland was junior Gabe Pickett, whose 14.25m jump earned him a 12th place ranking.
