Davis and Kaycon Finish First in South Carolina

COLUMBIA, SC - The Owls traveled to Columbia, S.C. this weekend where they took part in the Weems Baskin Invitational hosted by the University of South Carolina.
Sophomores Cullen Davis and Matthew Kaycon finished first in their respective heats. Davis finished the 5000m race in first place with his time of 15:17.70 and Kaycon came out of the 3000m steeplechase with a first place victory (19:22.22).
Junior Lionel Wilson finished the 400m race in fourth place (50.29) and fellow junior Kellar Williams placed eighth in the 800m run.
In his first spring season, freshman Will Maltin placed fifth in the 5000m run.
After seeing some success in the first outdoor meet of the season, the Owls will look to continue in their next meet, the Texas Relays on March 27 and 28th.
