Fencers Bratton and Varadi Graduate With Class of 2013

PHILADELPHIA— Jill Bratton and Mikayla Varadi, members of the Temple women's fencing team, are graduating from the University with the Class of 2013 on Thursday, May 16. Bratton and Varadi have earned their degrees in Art and Nursing, respectively, and will participate in commencement ceremonies.
Helping the Owls to a national ranking and NIWFA titles in each of their four years, Bratton qualified for her second straight trip to the NCAA Championships as an epeeist, while Varadi qualified for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional all four years as a foilist. Last month at Temple's Annual Breakfast of Champions, both were honored for their work in the classroom, as Varadi was tabbed to the President's Honor Roll (3.50 GPA or higher) and Bratton was named to the Director's Honor Roll (3.00-3.49 GPA).
