Women's Soccer Set to Host Binghamton

AMBLER, Pa. – Women's soccer is getting set to host Binghamton on Friday for a 4:00 p.m. kickoff at the Ambler Sports Complex. The Owls will look to rebound after two straight home losses this past weekend. Live stats and a stream will be available for both games by clicking the link above.
TEMPLE NOTES...
After winning the first four games of the season on the road and off to the best start in program history, the Owls dropped two home games to Marshall and Rider. Both games were 1-0 losses where the Owls had several opportunities to tie the game up in the second half but couldn't convert.
Goalkeeper Shauni Kerkhoff is 4-2 this season, playing every single minute for the Owls. She has four shutouts on the season, 18 saves and only two goals allowed. She was on the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll last week for her strong play in wins over Mount St. Mary's and Loyola Maryland.
The Owls have featured a balanced scoring attack, with six different players scoring goals and 11 players recording points. Ingrid Mello and Alyssa Kirk are tied for the team lead in goals with two each.
Of the 26 players that have participated in a game this season, only three are upperclassmen.
Outscoring opponents 8-2 this season.
BINGHAMTON NOTES...
After losing seven starters and 12 letterwinners, the Bearcats have started the season with a 4-1 record and a four game-winning streak coming into the game.
Rebecca Raber is second on the team in with points with four (one goal and two assists). She was named America East Player of the Week on September 9th with a goal and two assists in victories over Lafayette and Niagara.
Stephani Church leads the team in points with three goals and one assist. She was named America East Player of the Week on September 3rd after scoring the game-winning goal in a 1-0 overtime win at Iona and an assist in a 1-0 win over Manhattan. She has only started one game this season.
Outscoring opponents 8-3 and outshooting them 70-43.
