Belkssir Wins Jersey Title at 2013 Princeton/Farnsworth Men's Tennis Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – Sophomore Hicham Belkssir was Temple's lone men's tennis player still competing in the 2013 Princeton/Farnsworth Invitational on Sunday, and he made the most of it, winning the Jersey Flight. Belkssir posted a perfect 4-0 record on the weekend on the way to the title.
After making his way to the finals with straight-set wins over the last two days, Belkssir squared off against Josh Yablon of Princeton for the championship tilt. Belkssir was up 3-2 in the opening set before winning by walkover due to injury.
"I was really happy with the way the guys fought and competed this weekend, especially Hicham," said head coach Steve Mauro. "He's been undefeated this fall and is playing some of his best tennis ever."

The Owls are back in action in two weeks at the UPenn Invite on September 27-29.
