NEWPORT, RI - Senior Matthew Crescenzo led the Temple men's golf team to an eighth place showing at the Adams Cup, held at the Newport National Golf Club. Crescenzo finished with a six-over 222 to tie for 11th place overall in the 54-hole tournament that concluded Tuesday.
Central Florida won the Adams Cup with a eight under 856 while Bethune-Cookman's Ryan Fricker was the medalist with an 11-under 205.
Sophomore Brandon Matthews tied for 29th overall, nine shots behind Crescenzo with a 222. Junior Mike Amole was one stroke behind Matthews and tied for 34th. Junior Matt Teesdale tied for 51st with a 237 while freshman Evan Galbreath (t-75th) rounded out the squad with a 245.
