Izewski Earns American Athletic Conference Cross Country Weekly Award

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Temple men's cross country's Alex Izewski was named the American Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for Oct. 21 after a first-place performance at the Penn State National on Oct. 11.
Izewski won the Penn State National, hosted by the Nittany Lions, out of 34 competitors. The Temple juinor ran the 5.2 mile race in a time of 26:20 at the Blue/White Golf Course to earn a first-place finish overall.
This course served as a preview for Izewski as it will be the site for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional in November.
