Peric Named to American Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Temple freshman Dara Peric earned a spot on the final American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll of the season, after her performance in a pair of wins last week for the Owls.

Peric averaged 3.86 kills and 2.57 digs per set as Temple closed out the season with two American Athletic Conference victories. Peric had double-digit kill totals in both matches, including a double-double against Tulane. In the win over the Green Wave, she hammered 12 kills, hitting .458 with 10 digs, helping the Owls to the sweep. Against Houston, she tallied 15 kills and just missed a double-double, adding eight digs in a 3-1 win. For the week, Peric hit .312 with a pair of aces and two blocks.

The rookie finished third on the Owls with 2.62 kills per set, also adding 3.18 digs per set, to rank second on the Owls. During conference play, Peric's numbers improved, as she tallied 2.85 kills and 3.54 digs per set, helping the Owls to a tie for second place in the American.

Temple volleyball closed out the 2014 campaign with a 24-8 overall record, the program's best mark since 2002.
