Volleyball Team Volunteers at Chosen 300 Ministries

PHILADELPHIA - On a Sunday during the non-competition season, Temple volleyball took some time to help those less fortunate by volunteering at Chosen 300 Ministries.

Early in the morning, the Owls went to set up tables and chairs for the service before breakfast. They also prepared eggs, sausages, and potatoes in pans. Some team members lined the pans with butter, and others made pots of coffee. The church service lasted from 10-11 am, after which the team put out more tables and started to bring out all of the food.

Once they were organized, different groups worked different stations. There was an orange juice station, coffee station, and a station to pass out food. Afterward, the team helped clean up and spent some time with Temple alum Brian Jenkins and his family. Jenkins, the founder and Executive Director of Chosen 300 Ministries, said a prayer for the group before the Owls departed for the day.
