Robert Amaro Named Philadelphia's Big 5 Baseball Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA – Robert Amaro was named Philadelphia's Big 5 Baseball's Player of the Week for his performance last weekend in Temple's season opening series against Rider and UMass-Lowell in Wilson, N.C.

In two games against Rider and one with UMass-Lowell, Amaro started all three games and racked up seven hits on 12 at bats, six RBI, and four doubles with a .917 slugging percentage.  Against Rider for the first game of the 2014 season, he went three for four with four RBI and two doubles.  He had a double in all three games.

The Owls head south again this weekend for a three game series at Virginia Commonwealth, starting on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
