PHILADELPHIA - Two new American Athletic Conference opponents await Temple men's basketball on the road this weekend, as the Owls travel to SMU and Houston. Temple will face SMU on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 8:00 p.m. (EST) on ESPNews before going on to Houston for a 2:00 p.m. (EST) game on Sunday, Feb. 9, also on ESPNews.

• Temple and SMU are meeting for the third time, but the first since the 1955-56 season when the Owls defeated the Mustangs 90-81 in the NCAA Final Four third-place game.
• Both head coaches have played three games against the other team, but neither have done so while with their current school.
• The Mustangs are led by redshirt sophomore guard Nic Moore with 13.9 ppg and redshirt sophomore forward Markus Kennedy with 12.1 ppg to go with a team-best 7.4 rpg.
