Live Results
PHILADELPHIA - The outdoor season begins for Temple men's and women's track and field at the Carolina Relays this weekend, beginning Friday evening, March 21. The meet concludes Saturday with a full slate of events from 11:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The Owls are sending 15 athletes each for the men's and women's teams, including some seeing their first action of the year.
Teams from North Carolina, East Carolina, Pittsburgh, Duke and North Carolina State are set to compete. Live results for the two-day meet can be found HERE.
The weekend will mark a return to action for senior Gabe Pickett, a second-place finisher in both the long jump and triple jump at the 2013 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships.
Looking for continued success on the women's side will be juniors Margo Britton and Kiersten LaRoche, two of the team's top performers at the American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships and the ECAC Indoor Championships.
Temple's top distance runners on both teams will have the weekend off as the Carolina Relays feature primarily sprints and relay events in track.Â
The next few weeks of Temple's outdoor season will take the Owls to Richmond, Va., Williamsburg, Va., Miami and the Penn Relays. On April 19, Temple will host its own Owls Alumni Invitational on the outdoor track at the Geasey Field complex. The American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships are set for May 2-4 at the University of South Florida in Tampa.Â
