#6 Seed Temple to Face #3 Seed USF in American Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference announced its inaugural women's basketball championship seeds and bracket on Tuesday following the completion of the regular season.

Following its inaugural season of league play, Temple (14-15 overall) is the No. 6 seed and will face No. 3 seed USF (18-11 overall) in quarterfinal action on Saturday, March 8 at 8 p.m. on ESPN3.
Â
The winner will advance to Sunday's second semifinal at 3 p.m. on ESPNU. The Championship game is slated for Monday, March 10 at 7 p.m. on ESPN.

The 2014 Women's Basketball Championship will be held Friday, March 7 through Monday, March 10 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. Â

The tournament winner will earn the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Championship.
