Men's Tennis Makes Quick Work of Philadelphia University in 7-0 Win

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple men's tennis team extended its win streak to four matches, making quick work of local foe Philadelphia University on Thursday, March 6, with a 7-0 victory. The match took place at both team's indoor home site, Legacy Youth Tennis and Education Center.
The Owls earned the doubles point with an 8-2 win at No. 3 and an 8-1 decision at No. 1, respectively. TU also won at the second flight, 8-0, for good measure.
In singles action, the Cherry & White won every match in straight-sets, with three of those in shutout fashion. Kristian Marquart extended his personal singles win-streak to six matches with a 6-0, 6-0, blanking at No. 2. Filip Stipcic (No. 4) and Hernan Vasconez (No. 5) also won by scores of 6-0, 6-0.
Temple (4-8) squares off against Penn on Sunday, March 9, at 9 a.m.
