Kiersten LaRoche Takes Third in Pentathlon at ECAC Indoor Track & Field Championships

BOSTON - On the first day of the three-day ECAC Championships, junior Kiersten LaRoche took third place for Temple in the pentathlon to earn six team points for the Owls. Qualifers from both the women's team and the men's team will be competing for Temple over the weekend, as the opening day featured just the penathlon and men's heptathlon.
LaRoche earned 3,536 points overall. She won the long jump event with her mark of 5.63 meters. Her other top finishes included taking fourth in shot put and sixth in the 60m hurdles among a field of 15 competitors.
