PHILADELPHIA - On the final day of the 120th Penn Relays, Temple men's track & field senior Gabe Pickett took fourth place in the College Men's Triple Jump Eastern. Pickett was the lone competitor for the Owls on Saturday, and his mark of 14.92 meters was good enough for his second medal of the week.
Pickett also earned a medal as a finalist and fifth-place finisher in the long jump on Friday. In the triple jump, his best mark came on his third attempt of the flight, and earned him a spot among the nine finalists. The jump was just nine centimeters off his best of the season.
The Owls have now finished competing at the Penn Relays, and will be back in action next week at the American Athletic Conference Championships, set for May 2-4 at the University of South Florida.
