Men's Crew Fares Well on The Schuylkill River

Philadelphia- Temple Men's Crew took on Williams and Bucknell University in a two part, head to head racing format on the Schuylkill River Saturday.
The Owls were victorious in their first two races against Bucknell, boasting a time of 5:54.8 for the first place finish in the Varsity 8+ A race. The Owls boat was comprised of Dante Romeo (coxswain), Tom Robbins (stroke), Charles Anderson (seat-7), Brian Reifsnyder (seat-6), Dan Sipzner (seat-5), Fergal Barry (seat-4), Evan Hammond (seat-3), Joshua Kuzo (seat-2) and Pat Woodruff (bow). The team continued to show strength in the 2nd Varsity 8+ race, finishing ahead of the Bison with a time of 6:08.9. The Varsity 8+ B boat was comprised of Truman Levine (coxswain), Conor Murphy (stroke), Ryan Dartnell (seat-7), Bryan Berry (seat-6), Gary Wielgus (seat-5), Zephyr Dippel (seat-4), Stephen Lindeman (seat-3), Nick Matousch (seat-2) and Mario DiCarlo (bow).
Following a short break from the first round of racing, Temple continued to compete aggressively, earning a first place finish in two of three races against Williams College. The Varsity 8+ A boat won with a time of 5:50.1 and the Varsity 8+ B followed suit, placing first with a time of 6:04.6, three-tenths of a second ahead of Williams.
The Varsity 8+ C boat was comprised Kati Funck (coxswain), Vittorio DiPentino (stroke), Dylan McCreavy (seat-7), TJ Kuhar (seat-6), Joe Calendo (seat-5), Kyle Powell (seat-4), Richard Ridgway (seat-3), Muhammad Abdulkafarov (seat-2) and Robert Byrne (bow).
