Baseball Awarded the Sixth Seed in American Athletic Conference Tournament as Schedule is Released

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Temple baseball was given the sixth seed in the American Athletic Conference Tournament at Bright House Field in Clearwater, Fla. next week. The Owls will face No. 2 UCF, No. 3 Houston, and No. 7 UConn in pool play that starts on Wednesday and ends Saturday.
Temple's first opponent will be Houston on Wednesday at 3 p.m. The Owls will then take on UCF in the night game at 7 p.m. on Thursday. They conclude pool play Saturday with the morning game at 11 a.m. against UConn. Friday will be the off day for Temple as each school in the tournament has an off day from Wednesday to Saturday.
The conference tournament is split into two pools with No. 1 Louisville, No. 4 Rutgers, No. 5 USF and No. 8 Memphis forming the other pool. The winner of the two pools will face each other in the championship game at noon on ESPNU for the automatic bid into the NCAA tournament.
Temple was swept earlier in the year at UCF, split a series against Houston this weekend, and won two of three games at UConn in mid-April.
