PHILADELPHIA - The Temple volleyball team ushered in the start of the 2014 preseason by walking in to a brand new locker room on Monday afternoon. The Owls' new space is much larger and features additions such as a 60-inch smart television and personalized lockers. The players also received new gear for the season, adding to the excitement of the locker room reveal.
"This is great," said senior Tiffany Connatser after starting to get settled in the new locker room. "It's definitely a huge improvement, and we're super excited to have it...We put in a lot of work on the court, off the court, in summer school, and it's so nice to have our University back us up and give us these nice things. We're so appreciative."
Head Coach Bakeer Ganes is similarly pleased with the final result, after seeing it go through stages of development. "I think it's amazing," he said. "It's a great space for the girls. They can spend time in here and not just for changing. This is a great sign for where the athletics department is headed and a great sign of the commitment they're making to our program. It's just very, very positive."
