Men's Cross Country Takes 15th Among 25 Teams at NCAA Regional Championships

11.13.15 | Men's Cross Country

PRINCETON, N.J. - Senior Matt Kacyon led Temple men's cross country to a 15th place finish among 25 teams at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships on Friday. Kacyon placed 29th among more than 170 runners in a time of 31:40.0 for the 10K race.

Junior Stephan Listabarth was the Owls' second-place finisher, coming in 57th in a time of 32:13.6. Senior Alex Izewski placed 90th in 32:47.7.

"This was an average day for us. We left some points on the board for sure," said coach James Snyder. "It was a tough race out there but that's what championship racing is, and we raced a lot of young kids who were at their first NCAA Regional and are still learning how to work within that. We have to take the good from what we've done and come back more experienced and ready in subsequent seasons."

The men's team will conclude the 2015 season at the IC4A Championships next weekend in the Bronx.
