Atkinson Named to American and Big 5 Weekly Honor Rolls

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple sophomore Tanaya Atkinson was named to both the American Athletic Conference and Philadelphia Big 5 Weekly Honor Rolls for the period ending December 20.
Atkinson led the Temple offense in the Owls' only action of the week. The sophomore scored a career-high 24 points, as Temple routed Delaware State, 100-59. Atkinson shot a stout 68.8% (11-16) from the field, while also pulling down a game-high nine rebounds from the guard position.Â
Temple women's basketball opens play in The American on December 30, hosting Memphis at 7:00 p.m.
