Men's Tennis Blanked by Penn State, 7-0

PHILADELPHIA – After a shutout win against St. Francis (N.Y.) on Thursday, the men's tennis team was blanked on Sunday by #16 Penn State, 7-0.
The Owls were completely swept in all of their sets, including doubles. Penn State's Marc Collado Castells and Michael Reilly took the first set at the third flight against Santiago Canete and Ondre Cargill, 6-2. The Nittany Lions' Nika Dolidze and Christian Lutschaunig took the doubles point against Ian Glessing and Vineet Naran with a victory at the second flight, 6-1. Hicham Belkssir and Nicolas Paulus were also beaten at the first flight, 6-4.
In singles, the Owls could not find a rhythm on the court, with Paulus, Naran, Cargill, and Filip Stipcic being shutout in at least one of their sets.
The Owls (2-3) will return to action on February 13 as they face Philadelphia University at 12:30 p.m. at Legacy Tennis Center.
