Alumni Tournament Highlights Spring Schedule for Volleyball

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple volleyball team will host its annual Alumni Tournament on Saturday, April 25. The event highlights and concludes the spring season for the Owls.
The Alumni Tournament will take place in McGonigle Hall, and it will feature matches between Temple and Binghamton, GMU, LaSalle, and Army, before the Owls' battle their alumni. Following the volleyball action, the team will host a social from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Tavern on Broad. The social is open to anyone 21 years of age and older and the open bar/food package package costs $30. Interested alumni should RSVP to templevb@temple.edu.
Temple opened the spring season on a high note at Villanova last weekend, winning five of six sets in its opening tournament. The Owls faced Stony Brook, Penn, and Lehigh at the event. Temple swept Stony Brook (25-22, 25-10) and Lehigh (25-20, 25-13) and split sets with Penn (22-25, 25-10), but came out on top of the Quakers by total points scored.
The Owls have two more events this spring beginning with an April 18th tournament at Penn. Temple will then wrap up the non-traditional season by hosting the annual Alumni Tournament on April 25.
