Sprint Medley Relay Team Breaks Another School Record for Temple at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA - A second school record was broken for Temple track and field in consecutive days at the Penn Relays. On day two of events, Temple's Sprint Medley Relay team earned a new record time of 3:56.77, breaking the previous mark of 3:58.55 set in 2012.
The foursome of Bionca St. Fleur, Jimmia McCluskey, Kenya Gaston and Blanca Fernandez finshed first in their heat and seventh overall out of 38 teams in the field.
In the triple jump, sophomore Sydnee Jacques placed 40th with a distance of 11.20m.
The Owls will be competing in two events on the final day of the Penn Relays on Saturday. The remaining schedule is as follows:

3:00 p.m. - Olympic Development Mile: Blanca Fernandez
5:45 p.m. - 4x400m Relay ECAC Final: Hollis Coleman, Kenya Gaston, Kiersten LaRoche, Demeshia Davis
