Men's Crew Races at IRA Championships this Weekend

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple men's crew team will close the 2014-15 season at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championships this weekend. The three-day event is being held on Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J.

Temple will race a pair of fours at the event, the varsity four and the lightweight varsity four. After a tough selection process, the varsity four line-up will include sophomore coxswain, Dante Romeo, junior stroke Tom Robbins, junior three seat Charles Anderson, freshman two seat Collin McKinney, and junior bow Ryan Dartnell.

The lightweight four, which is coming off a gold-medal performance at the 2015 Dad Vail Regatta, has stayed consistent throughout the season. The boat features junior coxswain, Kati Jordan Funck, sophomore stroke Vittorio DiPentino, sophomore three seat Dylan McCreavy, senior Vincent DiPentino, and freshman bow Nicholas Olimpo.

The varsity four boat will race in the fourth heat on Friday, set for 11:48 a.m. The lightweight four will take part in Saturday heats, rowing at approximately 8:48 a.m.
