Quarterback P.J. Walker Named to American Athletic Conference Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA – Junior quarterback P.J. Walker was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll this week. He earned the distinction for his career-high 391-yard performance in the Owls' 25-23 win at UMass. Walker was 28 for 48 on the day with a touchdown to Adonis Jennings. Trailing 23-22 with 1:16 to go, Walker marched his team 50 yards in 1:04, going six for nine on the drive and setting up Austin Jones' game-winning 32 yard field goal. The victory gave Temple its' first 3-0 start since 2010. The Owls join conference rival Memphis as the only FBS teams with two road wins so far this season.
Walker and the Owls will enjoy a bye week before travelling to Charlotte for a non-conference prime-time showdown with the 49ers. Gametime on CBS Sports is set for 7:00 p.m. on October 2nd.
