Track & Field Adds Four Personal-Bests in Day Two of Penn State National

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – In the Owls' second day of competition of the Penn State National Invitational, Temple women's track and field earned four more personal records from four different runners. Leading the pack was junior Kenya Gaston who placed second overall in the 500-meter race with a personal-best time of 1:15.06.

Gaston's time marks another ECAC qualifying time for the Owls. The success continued in the 800-meter race with freshmen Maya Halprin-Adams and Alexis O'Shea earning a pair of personal-bests in the event. Halprin-Adams reduced her previous record by four seconds with a time of 2:16.84 to take 16th place overall. O'Shea made a one second improvement to log a 2:17.70 that ranked 21st in the field.

Freshman Crystal Jones, who logged a personal-best in yesterday's 60-meter hurdle race, added a second personal record to her weekend in the high jump. Jones hit a 1.73 meter jump to tie for seventh overall.

Junior Bionca St. Fleur rounded out the day in the 200-meter race, logging a 24.94 to place eighth overall.
