Basketball Teams Set to Debut October 27th at Cherry & White Night

PHILADELPHIA – The wait is finally over for Temple basketball fans as both the 2016-17 Temple University men's and women's basketball teams will make their public debut at Cherry & White Night on Thursday, October 27. The free event, which is open to the public, will be held at the Liacouras Center beginning at 7:15 p.m.
The new Temple Student Sections - Cherry Zone and White Zone - will be on display for the first time this year. Students can choose their zone, shoot hoops on the Pop-A-Shot and play video games in Club 1776. Temple students will enter through the student entrance at 15th and Montgomery Avenue beginning at 6:30 p.m. The general public will enter through the IBC entrance off 15th Street starting at 7 p.m.

The defending American Athletic Conference regular season champion men's team begins its season at the Liacouras Center on Friday, November 11 against Big 5 rival La Salle. The women's team also opens at home in McGonigle Hall against the Explorers on Monday, November 14.
