Coundourides Earns American Weekly Honor Roll Nod

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple volleyball's Kyra Coundourides was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for  the period ending October 23. The setter distributed the Owls' offense in a pair of key conference victories last week.Â
Coundourides led the team to it's best hitting weekend of American play this season, as Temple attacked at a combined .301 in road wins over East Carolina and Cincinnati. Against East Carolina, the junior dished out 51 assists, adding eight digs, an ace and a kill. In a sweep of Cincinnati, she notched 29 assists with five digs, also getting in on the offense with four kills on six attacks (.667%). For the week, Coundourides averaged 11.53 assists per set, adding 1.86 digs per set and 0.71 kills per set.
With the weekend sweep, Temple moved to 14-6 overall, 7-3 in conference play.
