RALEIGH, N.C. – Sophomore Sam Soeth continues to lead the way for Temple Golf this fall, but his two-under 69 in the afternoon round was the lone highlight of the day for the Owls at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate Monday.. The Cherry and White sit in 17^th place in the 17-team field held at the 7,358-yard Lonnie Poole Golf Course on the campus of North Carolina State.

Soeth, who shot a five-over 76 in the morning round, is tied for 38^th in the 90-player field with a three-over 145. His 69 is tied for his best career round. Fellow sophomore Trey Wren was two strokes back of Soeth, carding rounds of 74 and 73 for a five-over 147 to tie for 48^th overall.

Redshirt sophomore John Barone and junior Mark Farley both struggled in the afternoon with rounds in the 80s to tie for 78^th with 156 (+14) totals. Freshman Marty McGuckin shot an 82 in the morning, but recovered nicely in the afternoon with a 74 to tie with Barone and Farley.

East Carolina leads the field with a 550 with the Pirates' Timothy Conover (67-67, 134) tying N.C. State's Jacob McBride (68-66, 134) for the lead at eight-under par.
Play concludes with one round Tuesday.
