Owls Post Fourth-Place Finish at Lehigh Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Freshman Nicholas Pisarski earned the first top-ten finish of his collegiate career with an eight-place showing, and three other Owls tied for 11th individually to lead the Temple men's golf team to fourth place at the Lehigh Invitational.
The Owls shot a 298 on the final day of competition Sunday, the second-best second round of any team in the field.

- Pisarski began the day with a birdie on the par-5 first hole, and made the turn at two-over par 38.
- The Orlando, Fla. product began the back nine with three straight pars before birdieing the par-4 13th.
- A bogey on the 14th briefly stunted momentum, but the freshman eagled the par-5 15th en route to a one-under par back side and a one-over par 73 for his round.
- The 15th hole was kind to the Owls, as the team of five players went five-under par including three birdies and an eagle on the day.
- Senior Jake Naese and sophomores William Jun and Mason Tomé all tied for 11th place, with Tomé shooting up 10 spots thanks to his two-over par 74 round that included four birdies.
- The Owls narrowly missed out on a top-three showing, with Fairleigh Dickinson and Lafayette each concluding the event at 597 compared to Temple's 598.
- Evansville won the team title at 594, and three players tied for medalist honors at two-under par - FDU's Pietro Maria Miccoli, Lehigh's Ryan Cronin and Evansville's Jamison Ousley.
- Temple rounds out the fall season with the Big 5 Championships in Lafayette Hill, Pa., on Thursday, Oct. 30.
