10.25.25 | Men's Golf

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Sophomore William Jun is in seventh place individually, just three shots off the lead, and the Temple University men's golf team stands in fifth place after the first day of the Lehigh Invitational on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Jun carded a one-over par 73 and totaled three birdies and 11 pars on his round.
  • The sophomore started his round on the back nine and made the turn at one over, but registered a pair of birdies over holes 4-6 to move to one under on the day.
  • A pair of bogeys down the stretch moved him to one over for his day, but he is in striking distance for medalist honors on Sunday.
  • Senior Jake Naese made the turn at even-par 36 and finished at three-over 75 to sit in 17th position, while sophomore Mason Tome totaled a team-best five birdies and is tied for 21st.
  • Evansville holds a five-shot lead over Fairleigh Dickinson and Lafayette heading into the final round on Sunday.
  • FDU's Pietro Maria Miccoli sits at two-under par and is atop the leaderboard by a stroke over Lafayette's Winston Kelenc-Blank and Evansville's Danlil Romashkin.
