Men's Cross Country Concludes 2016 Season at IC4A Championships
11.19.16 | Men's Cross Country
BRONX, N.Y. – On Saturday, Temple men's cross country faced a deep field of competition at the IC4A Championships to conclude the 2016 season. Graduate student Marc Steinsberger earned a spot in the top 10. The Germany native finished the 8K in 25:53, placing 6th out of a total 190 runners.
"Today it was good to have our full group back out there," said head coach James Snyder. "It was encouraging to see Marc bounce back from where he was last week at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional meet."
Steinsberger was the lead scorer for the Owls. The squad's second best finisher was sophomore Johnathan Condly, who placed 46th in a time of 27:10. Overall, the team placed eighth out of the 19 teams in the division. Northeastern took first place with three runners in the top-10.
"Now that the season has come to a close, the main focus for most of the guys is shifting gears and having some down time to let their bodies and minds recover from a long season," said Snyder. "As of now, we have no particular goals or expectations but to keep healthy. For next season, we will just have to aim to get better as a whole. Each member of the team continues to improve."
