Butts Named to American Weekly Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple junior Alliya Butts was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for her play in the Owls' win over Quinnipiac.

Butts poured in 24 points with 14 coming in the fourth quarter, as Temple handed Quinnipiac its first loss of the season. Trailing by seven points in the final frame, Butts scored over half her points in the last 10 minutes, none bigger than a go-ahead three with 39.6 on the clock. The junior also had a key steal in the final minute of play, finishing with three for the game, as the Owls knocked off the number four team in the Mid-Major National Poll.

Temple is back in action on Thursday at Harvard, tipping off at 7:00 p.m.
